1947 | Founder Bunzo Tanuma opened a campus restaurant commissioned by Keio University (Noborito, Kawasaki City). |
1966 | The Original TONKATSU SABOTEN restaurant opened in the Tokyo-Shinjuku district. |
1972 | Saboten Co., Ltd. was established with a capital of 30 million yen. |
1974 | Bunzo Tanuma is appointed to be the first chairman of the Japan Industrial Food Service Association. |
1977 | Bunzo Tanuma is awarded the Ranju Hosho (the Medal with a Blue Ribbon). |
1980 | Operating capital of Saboten Co., Ltd. grows to 60 million yen. |
1981 | Chiaki Tanuma becomes the president of Saboten Co., Ltd. Bunzo Tanuma becomes the chairman of Saboten Co., Ltd. |
1982 | Saboten Co., Ltd. changes its name to Green House Foods Co., Ltd. |
1988 | Bunzo Tanuma is awarded the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette. |
1990 | Operating capital of Green House Foods Co., Ltd. grows to 90 million yen. |
1992 | Bunzo Tanuma is awarded the Konju Hosho (The Medal with a Dark Navy Blue Ribbon). |
1993 | Bunzo Tanuma is appointed to be the chairman of the Japan Food Service Association. |
1995 | SABOTEN opens its 100th location. |
1996 | The Head Office is moved to Tokyo Opera City Tower in Hatsudai, Tokyo. Saboten opens its 200th location. |
1998 | Saboten opens its 300th location. |
2000 | The Head Office is moved to Shinjuku Park Tower in Shinjuku, Tokyo. |
2001 | Saboten opens its 400th location. Technological partnership with “OUR HOME”, a Korean company, is formed. Saboten Restaurant opened the first location in Korea. |
2003 | Received ISO 14001 Certification. |
2004 | First Saboten Restaurant in Taiwan opens. |
2006 | Green House Foods Co., Ltd. celebrated its 40th anniversary. |
2007 | First television commercial broadcast. A cooking class for children called Little Chef is organized. |
2008 | Saboten Restaurant the first location in Thailand opens. Green House Co., Ltd. transfers ownership of Shian-gyoza and Kayu-santin to Green House Foods Co., Ltd. Chiaki Tanuma is appointed to be the chairman of the Japan Food Service Association. |
2009 | Green House Co., Ltd. transfers ownership of Shahoden to Green House Foods Co., Ltd. Saboten opens its 50th oversea location. |
2010 | Saboten Restaurant opened the first location in Singapore. Concluded a FC contract with SSP Asia Pacific. |
2011 | Saboten Restaurant opened the first location in Hong Kong. Chiaki Tanuma is awarded the Ranju Hosho (the Medal with a Blue Ribbon). |
2012 | Saboten Restaurant opened the first location in Vancouver, Canada. Saboten opens its 100th oversea location. |
2013 | Saboten Restaurant opened the first location in Beijing, China. Saboten Restaurant opened the first location in Philippines. |
2014 | The Head Office is moved to Tokyo Opera City Tower. |
2015 | First Saboten Restaurant in Macau opens. |
2016 | First domestic “Saboten” FC store in Tokyo opens. |
2017 | Green House Foods Co., Ltd. celebrated its 50th anniversary. |
